Today is International Women’s Day. Celebrated annually on March 8, this holiday encourages all people to actively choose to "celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about women's equality, lobby for accelerated gender parity and fundraise for female-focused charities," according to the International Women's Day organization, and you can check their website to learn more at www.internationalwomensday.com
This year's theme is #ChoosetoChallenge, a calling on us all to think about our own thoughts and actions and how we can better promote gender inequality and celebrate women's achievements. And as a woman myself, what’s the better way to do that is to share a lists of my favorite powerful lines, from the great minds of great women; thoughts to ponder as a way to commemorate this special day for women.
